I love what you’re doing, Marjory! And probably the soil in most everyplace on earth needs detoxing at this point.
My family & I moved from Minnesota, USA, to a hot, dry climate overseas in an effort to realize our homesteading vision. We’re in a country that has no mail service, and just receiving necessary documents here (from a nearby country in the region) must come via international shippers at exorbitant rates.
It would be so helpful if someone could offer some more DIY-type solutions to detox soil, so it’s accessible to more people, regardless of where they live. This kind of information needs to be shared with the masses and made as accessible as possible with basic ingredients. Do you have any suggestions?
Regardless, I applaud what you’re doing with these kits. Also, we loved seeing you in Bastrop, TX, at Exit & Build 2022! (It took us quite a bit longer than expected to exit ;-)
Thanks for setting it up so the audio is more clear! That is quite a kite for the price including shipping. Maybe you could could coach us a little on what tests we would need o run or how to determine what tests to run? For example on our homestead, which had gone through a vicious property line battle a couple of absentee owners and some very creative thinking about what a unoccupied property will endure when nobody's lookin', mysteriously became occupied by empty transmission fluid canisters, assorted unidentifiable plastic and metal bottles, vehicle scraps and, a neighbor trailer that when the weeds were cut down, looked like it had been outfitted with plumbing but no septic or sewage arrangement. Otherwise, this sloping tract looks like it may have been grazed or cropped. We know one of the previous contenders was a permaculture adherent
Marjory the fundraiser on Zeffy seems to have sneaked their own fee through on top of my donation. I was not aware of it until it came on the e-mail bill. I would have happily added a few bucks for them if they had asked. But they didn't.
They have a rather evasive video about it when you go to their site to inquire. It even says you can "adjust" the donation, until at the end you find you have to contact the fundraiser.
I am going to let it go for now, but I won't be back doing any business they are in the middle of. I know it's a tough world for them, but GoFundMe and other similar sites have this kind of thing where you can see it and set your own extra for their fees. The way Zeffy handles this is a little too sneaky for me.
Nothing shows up when I type in www.thegrownetwork.com/fundraiser
It's working for me now (gave it a minute to load, but didn't take longer than expected for me).
do you ship to Canada?
