What seems lost in all the discussion about Trump activating the National Guard is that he absolutely has the authority to do so to protect Federal property and personnel. They are there in support of ICE agents enforcing immigration law (whether you agree with those laws or not) and ICE detention centers which are Federal property. It's not like they're occupying City Hall or the State Capital. He's not a King, he's the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. military; including the National Guard.

There have always been random agents provocateurs planted in every demonstration or protest, but now the enemies of humanity have enlisted an army of violent, disposable, brainwashed thugs to bring down this nation and spread the anarchy wherever else in the world they can! When peaceful methods don't work then is the time to bring on the tough love tools. These paid for protesters, terrorist and so on, prefer to do violence first than do peaceful tactics.

Go do something productive instead. Go garden. Go read a book. Go hiking.

I haven't seen anything authoritarian or unconstitutional yet? However, Biden did demand, against the law, that servicemen and women receive the Covid shot. He demanded we all do "or else." He demanded ppl get fired and did not allow religious exemptions. He did not allow free travel, which is a constitutional right. I could go on. Is that not ultra-authoritarian?

There were no incidences of violence in California until trump unconstitutionally took over the national guard. Those incidents are isolated and the police actions initiated violent responses. Trump wants to silence opposition and curtail our right to free speech so he is adding fuel to the fire by lying. This is not about Biden. This is about assault on the constitution. What seems lost in all the discussion about Trump activating the National Guard is that he absolutely has the authority to do so to protect Federal property and personnel. They are there in support of ICE agents enforcing immigration law (whether you agree with those laws or not) and ICE detention centers which are Federal property. It's not like they're occupying City Hall or the State Capital. He's not a King, he's the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. military; including the National Guard.
Stay out of protests, facial recognition surveillance by any agency can get a person flagged into the wrong column even if you are on the sidelines. Mistakes are made some that are permanently made. Such as the no fly list as an example.
ID theft can be a game changer, recently had a bank account drained, used an online pay system to renew a DMV drivers license that was suppose to be secured by the state government. Did get my money back.
So SHTF can happen with daily boring activities in these weird times.

Along the same idea, a few years ago the heatwave brownout crisis was man made. An electrical switch station supplying power between California and Arizona. Was caused by an operator switching a connection and power was down for several hours on the grid.
California and other states have not upgraded the electrical grid in years. Thank God the EV mandate was tossed out. People don't realize how critical the EV power demand is to take down major sections of the grid.
