During the first cold war we did have Soviet sleeper cells coming into America and thank God no one started serious problems.
But now we have radical Islamist who are crazy enough to strike out sabotage as they have a middle eastern mindset incompatible to our western Christian mindset of a fair fight.
Lately have seen in the neighborhood during my weekly walks several homes have put small gardens on their front yards, some have gotten chickens. Are people waking up or just acting on fear than what is necessary in current life.
In modern society unless you have barn cats, most domestic cats may not survive on the streets if the economy takes a dump. What are pet owners thinking to keep food available for their cats and dogs when the supply chains dry up?
Can the domestic pets go back to eating as their wild ancestors forged for food?
Looking at food alternatives for my backyard chickens, our feed stores may have shortages.
Gardening is the best skill and survive the hard times, do people know how to save seeds as seed packets will probably be gone by the supply chains disrupted.
It is good to spread your assets in different areas and not keep you eggs in one basket. As said gold, silver is good but you can't eat them you need to have a good food stash too.
People talk about bug in & out, but what happens to your bug out location is compromised, then what? Or you have to vacate your bug in home, what an how much can you carry to safety, how far an where?
Many of these prepper sites deal in generalities and don't look at what happens beyond the bug out to location where many others have the same idea. Is it safer to stay where you are at?
Many prepping scenarios seem to be geared to people who are fit, young twenty some. Many people are somewhere in the middle. Not everyone has a gun, some are older, seniors, they can't walk more than a mile. Main roads will be clogged with abandoned vehicles.
So be careful of who you put your trust in for prepper information. Marjory is great, tactical Jeff Anderson, computers Glenn Meder and so on.
Substack is okay but start getting off social media sites especially those completely using AI, AI makes mistakes of information, once fully implemented can you real trust the information?
